This is where I share the wisdom that a granny, as an elder of the tribe, accumulates in her journey through life. The reach of my mind is wide, and sometimes even a little deep. Sometimes, like Whitman, I contradict myself. Sometimes I wax eloquent. Sometimes I fall on my face. Why not do it in public?

The fireweed blooms are already half way up the stalk.
It is twilight when I go up the stairs at 10:00
Summer is half over.
We are on the wrong side of the solstice. Heading towards fall.
i thought of that too and we had a cold spring; so it seems summer has barely gotten here. I love these extremely long, lush days and this week it's been hot enough to satisfy any summer lover.
AC, There's lots of warmth and sun if it will ever stop raining. And, our summer is shorter than most. We have maybe another six weeks, maybe eight if we are really lucky.

ReplyDeleteNow, now. No despondency allowed yet. There's lots of warmth and light to experience yet.
