Pals

So, why can't people get along this well? If a tomcat can adopt a guinea pig, why can't the GOP get along with the Dems? It seems to me that it should be possible. And I also know that part of what makes this work is that the cat doesn't think of the guinea pig as prey. The cat was most likely raised with some kind of rodent in order to not consider them dinner. So, maybe we should see about getting baby democrats and republicans together for play dates?

It happens -- I know because I've seen it. All we have to do is agree to disagree and try to find a common ground and work for the common good -- not the party.

I just read what I said. In the words of the late Gilda Radner's Emily Litella -- "Never mind!"

Sigh

I don't think the Rep's and Dem's can ever get along with each other because, while they have different ideologies, their financial ambitions are too much alike.

Kay,
Yeah, working for the common good doesn't seem to be too popular with many politicians, does it?

Guinea pigs tend to be very timid animals, but this one is obviously quite comfortable and really seems to be digging the bath.

I think most politicians these days are pretty much bottom feeders; it's about either money or power for them. There are a few exceptions, Henry Waxman comes to mind. I hope he doesn't turn out to be dirty too, because he's the only one right now who seems to want to hold the Village Idiot and the Puppetmaster accountable.
